Teeth straightening treatments used to be mainly reserved for children and seemed to involved complicated wires, brackets and long treatment times. As an adult, if your teeth were crooked it was usual to align them using restorative techniques such as crowns and veneers.
With the advent of the new Cosmetic Tooth Straightening systems this has all changed. We are now able to move teeth that would have once been reduced by dental work and so now maintain precious tooth tissue.
The modern tooth straightening systems utilise clear brackets and tooth coloured wires or removable clear aligners that are almost invisible.
Treatment times are typically shorter with average times being around six months. This is because Adult Cosmetic Orthodontics only moves and aligns the front “smiling” six teeth.
